RUWA 2nd annual "bone"fire
October 24th, 2009
Thanks to all who came out and made our "bone" fire a success. I hope you enjoyed yourself. I know I enjoyed almost passing out on the jumpers and watching people get buried in corn. Got an idea for next year. Talk to Jess about it.
Haiti Well Project
February 25th, 2009
They found water. Praise God they found water. Here is the email I received from Dan Carl. Hi Friends, I just got off the phone with Enoc the Forman for the drill welling team. They arrived in Miragoane mid morning and got right to work drilling the well. The preliminary report is good. They found what seems to be fresh water (not salty) at 85 ft. The water is clean and with sufficient enough volume that Enoc thinks it will keep a hand pump primed with water and could handle a small electric submersible pump which could produce up to 10 gallons per minute (if needed.) Enoc explained he didn't want to drill any deeper for fear they would hit sea water. The team of 6 will be eating and sleeping at the church tonight. Tomorrow morning they will finish installing the hand pump and hopefully have everything operational before they return to Cayes. This is a great answer to prayer! Keep praying that the installation would go according to plans and that the well will produce a lot of water for many years! I asked a friend of mine to ride his motorcycle out from Cayes to take pictures so hopefully I will have something to email you before long. Thanks to the Lord and everyone who prayed and/or paid to help make this well become a reality. Let's keep praying it will be a wonderful help and ministry tool for the church, the school, and the surrounding community. Love you guys! In Christ, Dan & Liz
